The Parthenon is a very famous ancient temple in Greece. It stands on a big hill in the city of Athens. This amazing building is twenty-five centuries old. Many people come to see it every year. Last year, more than four million people travelled to this special place.
For a long time, the temple had some broken parts because of old wars and bad weather. Now, workers have fixed a large part of it. They carefully put two new white marble stones into the empty gaps. These gaps were empty for two hundred and twenty years!
The Greek Culture Minister said the temple looks truly beautiful now. Visitors can see its perfect shape again. The special project used money from Europe to help save the history of Greece. Now, children and families can see the building look whole and happy once more.
