Teen Book Club

Exploring timeless stories, ideas, and voices that shape the world.

Our Teen Book Club is a lively and engaging space where young readers explore classic and contemporary literature through thoughtful discussion and creative activities. Designed for advanced and bilingual learners, this course helps students strengthen reading comprehension, critical thinking, and communication skills — all while discovering the joy of great books.

Where great stories inspire great conversations

Read, Reflect & Connect

Each week, students read a selection from a well-known English-language novel and come together to explore its meaning. They discuss characters, analyze themes, and draw connections between the text, their own lives, and the world around them.

Think Critically, Speak Confidently

Classes include teacher-led discussions, close reading activities, and group analysis that encourage teens to express opinions, back ideas with evidence, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Through respectful debate and reflection, students learn to think deeply and communicate clearly.

Creative Expression

To make literature come alive, each class ends with a creative or reflective activity — such as a short writing task, mini-presentation, or themed poll. Optional creative projects and journal prompts let students explore the stories in personal, imaginative ways.

Weekly Class Structure

  • Introduction (20 min): Review of chapters, literary analysis, and discussions

  • Guided Discussion (20-25 min): Group conversation, debate, and text-based interpretation

  • Creative Wrap-up (5-10 min): Reflective or creative activity to connect ideas and insight

Learning Goals

  • Strengthen reading fluency and literary understanding

  • Develop analytical and critical thinking skills
